Based on the painting “Travailler en solitaire” (2018, begun in 2011),
Travailler ensemble / Working Together invites both children and adults into a space of rest and reflection. The installation aims not only to create a visual experience, but also a profound emotional exploration — between magic, science, and gentleness — seeking to stimulate conversations about the possibilities of a sustainable future within the artistic field.
Reconsidering the world around us — choosing materials with care and cultivating more sustainable modes of making — can inherently lead to a happier and healthier state of being.
Exploring the global-scale impact of industry, particularly overproduction and waste generation, Travailler Ensemble suspends soft sculptures in the air, with organic forms, creating a new floating landscape. Fragmented objects, as if from a dreamlike world, become a metaphor for the unconscious. Within this quasi-hypnotic ecosystem, the longing for nature becomes a quiet act of resistance, and the artistic gesture a powerful instrument that allows us to examine reality in order to reveal wonders that are invisible at first glance.
